Hope you are having a great summer! For some of us, summer is already coming to an end. My daughter is starting school next Wednesday and I am not ready for that yet…
I just returned from 2 week trip to Korea with some of our Black Belts. The trip consisted of one week Tae Kwon Do training at Cho Sun University with some of the best Sparring and Poomsae instructors in the world. We also had a private training session at Kukkiwon with Grand Master In Sik Hwang, World Taekwondo Federation Poomsae Referee Chairman (extreme honor – he does not do private classes. It is only because CUTA President Yoon and I have established relationship with Gran Master Hwang that he honored us with his time).
In addition to TKD training, we got to visit some of the most beautiful places including famed Bosung Green Tea Fields, an ancient Buddhist Temple called “Unjusa” and Gyonbukgoong Palace. Students also did home stays with students from our sister school in Seoul. Our students made many new friends and truly got a cultural experiences of a life time. I was told by many that this was a truly an “Awesome” and “Amazing” trip. Both my Black Belts and I have learned a lot in Korea. I am looking forward to implementing some of the new training ideas with all of you.
For those interested I uploaded some of the pictures from the trip:
